The arrests resulted from an incident in Putnam County on Thursday, Oct. 17 just before 10:30 p.m., when a caller told the Putnam County Sheriff's Office that drugs were possibly being sold from a car within the village of Brewster.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the location and found 52-year-old Michael Flynn of Brookfield, Connecticut in possession of heroin and cocaine that he allegedly had intended to sell, authorities said.
Brewster resident Kristen Walsh, age 40, was also arrested after she was allegedly found to be in illegal possession of a controlled prescription medication, the Sheriff's Office said.
Flynn and Walsh were both taken to the Putnam County Correctional Facility. Walsh was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and released pending a future court appearance.
Meanwhile, Flynn was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in the Village of Brewster Court and ordered held without bail pending a future court appearance.
